About OMEGALOGIC
Welcome to my little site and blog, OMEGALOGIC. A little corner floating out of our spacetime continuum, perpetually stuck in the past, oscillating between the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s, but sometimes resurfacing into the present.
Here, I share with you some memories of my life in those days, when the Internet felt innocent, smaller, and handmade; TV and CDs were still commonplace for the simple comfort of watching shows and listening to music in your bedroom; pocket film cameras captured memories that would look a little faded and blurry on prints; and nobody had a phone with them at all times, in all places.

They used to call me Omega online. To go with the nostalgia I present you here, I’m reviving that name in this setting.
I was born in the 80s, and went through my teenage years in the 90s, finally leaving my nest when that decade ended. Living on the other side of the world today, I’m forever holding the memories of those times through my early adulthood and now my middle age. Today, they feel just as distant as the little town where I grew up.
To the younger generations who have never seen the 20th century, I dedicate this site to you. You never had the chance to experience a world that wasn’t continuously online, where you could roam outside without carrying the rest of the planet in your pocket. Connectivity can be exciting and helpful, but also exhausting. Maybe through my musings, you’ll have a taste of what it was like to be disconnected once in a while.
